The Revenge of the Middle-Aged Woman by Elizabeth Buchan (2002) was a New York Times bestseller. I just read it out of curiosity to see what kind of revenge would be taken after the 52 year old heroine lost both her husband and job to her best friend. It turned out to be the best kind revenge of all- finding ways to live well.
