A study in Health Psychology of 64 adults with prehypertension were assigned to 5-, 10-, or 15-minute breathing awareness meditation sessions twice daily for 6 months. Overall patients in all three groups reduced their systolic blood pressure at three and 6 months with the biggest reductions in the 15-minute group.
